With nearly 1 million bottles being purchased around the world every minute, the environmental impacts of plastic are devastating. Here at NAECO we've managed to do something about it, we make used plastic bottles into colourful tailored swim shorts. NAECO swim shorts are made from 100% recycled plastic and save 15 bottles from harming our planet. In a world of fast fashion and mass consumption, we are striving to help make changes towards a more sustainable future.
Our aim is to offer a sustainable approach to fashion that not only looks great but at the same time contributes towards our planet . We offer a more meaningful approach to men’s swimwear by aligning fashion to our customer's values and ethics.
NAECO = OCEAN
NAECO grew out of a passion for the ocean and a passion for the sports around it including; surfing, kite surfing and, swimming all these sports rarely require an engine to perform and offer complete bliss and connection with nature when participating in.. This connection with nature is why we built our business and why we chose to be a business that reduces waste, recycles and makes a difference.
Inspired by elegant British tailoring, our shorts have a timeless, tailored look. At the same time, our use of the latest recycled fabrics and digital print techniques means our shorts maintain a contemporary edge. We incorporate themes of natural wonders, endangered ocean wildlife and coral reefs that we hope, will harness this connection with nature and inspire appreciation for the natural world around us.
We donate our time, services and at least 5% of our profits to help ocean charities and organisations all over the world so that they can continue to protect what’s irreplaceable. Staying true to our core business has helped us create a company that we are proud to run and work for.

Our oceans are the lifeblood of planet earth and we manufacture our shorts by removing and rescuing plastic and crafting eco-friendly 100% recycled fabric that is recyclable itself. This allows us to continue to share this earth with so many awesome forms of life.
We are not ignorant to the fact that our own business activity has an impact on the environment and can easily become part of the problem - lighting our workshops, salaries, working conditions to dying our shorts could all have an impact. Therefore, we work to monitor our business practices closely and offer transparency in our business. We constantly strive to do more and also educate others by sharing what we learn.
We keep exceptional standards when producing garments. Our criteria for the best product rests on comfort, function, repairability, and, foremost, durability.
One of the most direct ways we can limit ecological impacts is with goods that last or that can be recycled, so the materials in them remain in use in a circular economy. Making the best product matters for saving the planet. Using traditional British tailoring techniques we designed a short that we believe is a future classic - something you can wear on the ocean or out for dinner in the evening. We believe that true style lasts forever.

Today, we live in a world where it’s impossible to not know what’s going on around you. The news is everywhere. You simply have to turn on your television to watch another heart-wrenching video about an endangered species or the impact of plastic consumption. Consumers are becoming even more aware of the consequences of fast and cheap fashion, and how it could impact their future.
As awareness grows, people are learning more about where certain textiles come from and how their clothes are made. We try to educate our customers in our processes and where our materials come from so they can make conscious choices.
