Plastics play an important role in almost every aspect of our lives: we now use around 20 times more plastic than we did 50 years ago. It is one of the most durable and versatile materials out there, yet it is being made into single-use products that get used once and thrown away to pollute our oceans for centuries to come.
One of Naeco’s goals is to lengthen the lifespan of these plastics by reusing and recycling them as many times as possible, in order to prevent them from entering landfills or our oceans. The desire to fight plastic pollution that plagues our oceans is at the core of everything we do here at Naeco - and we’ll do whatever we can to make this happen.

Whether we’re designing and making ethical clothing from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic fabric as well as other sustainable materials, arranging beach cleanup operations, or using our voice to encourage others to consider how they can reduce their reliance upon single-use plastics, we will never stop protecting our oceans.
Plastic bottles, straws and other plastic waste are collected and passed through a series of steps of cleaning and crushing to obtain plastic flakes, which through a mechanical process are converted into rough polyester spun fibre. This fibre is then manipulated to obtain the finest quality of yarn, which we use to develop our fabrics.
“Our aim is simple: to create a luxury brand that shows the world that there is no need to carelessly use our world’s natural resources.”
